THE FOOTPRINTS MAGAZINE...
The foundation of the Footprints community is our magazine, which for a minimal fee, can be delivered to you via snail mail every three months. Visit our How To Subscribe page to find out more. We realise that the Internet can be a scary place, so please click here to request a free trial issue to enjoy at your leisure (offer open to Australian residents only.)
The first issue was launched in Brisbane in January 1998, and has since spread throughout Australia and even across the world. As one of our readers wrote:
"Your magazine is always interesting reading and it's nice to feel we can be in touch with so many other women - in spirit . . . Keep up the good work everyone!" - Sue, Warwick QLD.
Footprints aims to provide Christian women Down Under with magazine-style reading - light, refreshing, entertaining and uplifting. Each issue is jam-packed with features of interest to women of faith in the 21st Century, as well as hints, tips, recipes, poetry, reviews, and always plenty of stories of how God is making a difference in the lives of women just like you.
A LITTLE ABOUT US…
Our community is made possible thanks to the hard work and loyalty of the "Footprints Team" - a small group of women from various denominations, who meet quarterly to pray, plan future editions and prepare mail-outs; as well as volunteer their own time and talents to writing and promotion others. We are just ordinary fair-dinkum Aussie gals - juggling marriage, home, church, families, work, studies and other responsibilities - and whilst we certainly don't have "all the answers", what we do have is a passion and calling to support and encourage our sisters in Christ.
So take your time, browse the site, and please let us know if you have any queries or comments - we'd love to hear from you!
Love,
Janet xxx

WHEN IT ALL BEGAN…
In September 1997 a small group of women from Brisbane Queensland, were bemoaning the lack of Christian publications for Australian women when Janet (and we aren’t sure if it was Godly inspiration or proverbial blondeness!) exclaimed – "Hey, I love to write – maybe I should start one!" The Footprints newsletter was launched shortly afterwards.
Many people thought Janet and her friends were biting off much more than they could chew (that's God for you!), but a loyal few embraced the concept of a magazine ministering to Australian women and . . . (sing the Brady Bunch tune here!) . . . that's the way, we became - the Footprints Team!
Team Members don't just write for Footprints, they pray for the growing ministry and all involved, they proof-read and edit contributions, brainstorm the content and focus of each new issue, assist in promotions such as speaking at churches and other groups, as well as staple and package each mail-out.

JANET CAMILLERI – EDITOR
Janet has always loved to write, so it seemed only natural to combine this gift with her love for Jesus - and so Footprints was born. Janet and Lawrence have been married since 1990 and have 2 children. Apart from writing for Footprints, Janet has also been published in several magazines such as For Me, Christian Woman, Signs of the Times, Gold Coast Weddings, Writing Australia, Caravan and Motorhome, Above Rubies, and The Evangel to name just a few. She works four days per week writing community newsletters. No matter what she is writing, or who she is writing for, Janet aims to uplift, encourage and inform her readers.
MELANIE PAGE - ASSISTANT EDITOR
Melanie and Janet have been friends since high school – a quarter of a century now! For many years a stay-at-home Mum, Mel returned to study in the mid 1990's and today she is a high school English and Christian Studies teacher at Grace Lutheran College. Mel and husband Craig celebrated their 20th anniversary this year and have three teenagers. Besides loving to cook and read, Mel is currently studying again; theology this time! The family lives at Cashmere, north of Brisbane and are active members of their local AOG church.
NICOLA SAAD
Nicola Saad is one of the original Footprints team members and an "old" friend of Janet's. She has been a Christian for over 20 years, wife to Andy for 16 years and today, is Mum to their 3 delightful children. Nicola is at uni part-time working towards her BA with a view to assisting others in the counselling sphere. An incurable readaholic, Nicola loves writing for and promoting Footprints. She has also gained a certain notoriety as a letter-to-the-editor writer extraordinaire! Nicola and Andy live at Bracken Ridge, and fellowship at Taigum Community Church.
ANISSA JONES
Anissa, husband Brayden and daughter live on nearly an acre of land north of Brisbane. Anissa has been a Christian since the age of twelve. Today she enjoys reading, gardening, camping and crafts. Niss (as she is affectionately known) works part-time as an office assistant and attends a Baptist church.

JOANNE BRINSFIELD
Joanne and Janet first met in 1995, when both were singing second soprano in an inter-denominational choir. Joanne and her Californian-born husband Matt moved to South Korea in 2001, and then to the United States at the end of 2003. They have settled in Eudora, Kansas, where they attend a Nazarene Church. After many years of hopes, prayers and dreams, Matt and Jo welcomed baby Lauren Isabelle to their family in 2003. In her spare time Jo enjoys scrapbooking, and her business as a “Do-Re-Mi and You” consultant.
VIVIAN JARRETT
Vivian and her family live in Rochedale on Brisbane's south side, and attend the original Christian Outreach Centre, Citipointe at Mansfield. Vivian and Mark have two children. Viv is currently working as a psychologist, with the aim of assisting those with mental health problems to achieve understanding, hope, and to lead full and productive lives.

Sonia became our faithful prayer warrior after first learning of the wonders of Footprints through her church, and friendship with Anissa Jones. Sonia and her husband have five children.
